The only exception is CSU Monterey Bay students, staff, and faculty.
CSU Monterey Bay affiliates may submit a scholarship application here.

DroneCamp Scholarship Program

The DroneCamp Scholarship Program offers financial support to students, employees from non-profits, and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who have a compelling need for the training but lack resources to participate. Scholarship support covers either the full or partial cost of registration, and may be awarded for both in-person and virtual participation. Travel, accommodation, and other costs are the responsibility of the participant.

In 2024, limited funds are available to support the following groups:

  • Students and staff of CSUMB
  • Students attending UC Santa Cruz
  • Employees of UC ANR
  • California Tribes
  • Veterans
  • Individuals from disadvantaged and under-represented backgrounds

Application Process

Applications for DroneCamp scholarships are now closed for all but CSU Monterey Bay students, faculty, and staff. CSUMB affiliates may apply here.

Scholarship applications are now being accepted. Click on the link below to apply. Applications will close May 23, 2024 or whenever all scholarships have been awarded.

The committee will review submitted applications on a rolling basis. All applicants will be notified latest by the end of May.

Scholarship applicants who require a scholarship to attend should please wait until you receive your award notification before registering for DroneCamp. We have reserved spots for scholarship recipients, and don’t want to take spots away from those who aren’t applying for a scholarship.
