Session Description: We carried out the UAV/Drone high-resolution mapping on the west coast of North America across 23-degree of latitude for monitoring and modeling the coastal ecosystem from 2019 to 2021. The object-oriented analysis was performed to estimate the link between extent/density of coastal seagrass habitats and the in situ biological characteristics. Meanwhile, we developed drone mapping training courses to teach local research partners to fly the drone independently for continuous data collection.
